FARGO, N.D. — Jade Presents has announced the inaugural UP & Coming Fest, a community-driven music and arts festival scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at the UP District Festival Field. The event aims to highlight local talent through an intimate, indie-leaning concert experience.
Organized by lead singer Lizzy LaFond and presented by the emerging band Simply Strangers, the festival was created to provide a platform for local artists while fostering connection within the Fargo community. Organizers have intentionally capped attendance at approximately 750 people to maintain an engaging atmosphere.
The day-long concert features 13 local acts, including Hiahli, The Wicked Bees, Simply Strangers, and Elevate Rock School. Other scheduled performers include 49th Parallel, Deer Street Duo, Falling In A Dream, FAYRE, Gradience, Last Minute Dream, Ravencrow, Shotty The Beam, and Tailspin. In addition to the musical performances, the festival will host various art vendors.
The event also includes a charitable component, as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Excite Music. The nonprofit organization provides music scholarships to underserved youth in the region, including students involved in programs such as the featured band Elevate Rock School.
Gates for the rain-or-shine event open at 11 a.m., with music beginning at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until 10 p.m. Children aged 12 and under will receive free admission.
General admission tickets start at $25.75 plus additional fees. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m. An online presale is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
