Local “No Kings” Movement to Hold Fargo Rally on March 28

FARGO, N.D. — A grassroots group called “No Kings” plans to hold a public rally in Fargo on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This local event is part of a larger series of demonstrations happening across the country that weekend.

The event, called “NO KINGS – Moorhead and Fargo,” will run from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. CDT at Centennial Boulevard and North University Drive, near the North Dakota State University campus.

Event details on Mobilize say the rally is part of a national movement that began in 2025. Organizers call it a “peaceful movement” and a “national resistance” against the current presidential administration. They highlight economic worries, saying “costs are pushing people to the brink,” and oppose what they describe as the administration’s “unjust and cruel acts.”

The national events use the slogan, “No thrones, no crowns, no kings.” Local volunteers organize the Fargo rally, which is connected to progressive and grassroots groups, including local Indivisible chapters.

Organizers stress that all “No Kings” events are committed to nonviolence. Participants are told to follow the law and help calm any conflicts with counter-demonstrators or others who disagree. The rules also ban all weapons, even legally permitted firearms.

The Fargo rally is one of many peaceful demonstrations planned nationwide for Saturday to express political dissent. Organizers note the area is mostly flat for accessibility, and there is plenty of free parking nearby on the NDSU campus.
