FARGO, ND / MOORHEAD, MN – Residents and visitors in the Fargo-Moorhead area are getting ready to celebrate Independence Day with a bunch of fun community events. There’ll be family-friendly festivals, veterans’ events, baseball, and of course, fireworks!

Bonanzaville, run by the Cass County Historical Society, will also throw a big 4th of July Celebration with free admission, thanks to a local sponsor. This family-friendly bash is set to run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will have bouncy houses, games, face painting, food vendors, and some cool historical activities. A parade is lined up for 2:00 PM, and fireworks will light up the sky at dusk, courtesy of The Red River Valley Fair.

If you’re looking for something different, Drekker Brewing Company is hosting a “Party Like It’s 1776” event from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, featuring bouncy houses, games, treats, and lots of festive fun.

One of the highlights on Friday, July 4th, is the annual Veterans Independence Day 5K/10K run, organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Fargo Chapter 491, at Bonanzaville in West Fargo. Registration kicks off at 7:00 AM, and the race starts at 8:00 AM. All the money raised will go back to support community projects that help veterans and their families.

Baseball fans can catch the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks playing against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Newman Outdoor Field at 7:02 PM, with fireworks after the game.

The Red River Valley Fair will be in full swing on July 4th, offering all sorts of attractions like musical performances, agricultural exhibits, carnival rides, and a combine demolition derby at 7:00 PM. They’ll also have a free Independence Day Firework Show at dusk. Due to weather conditions communicated by the National Weather Service, tonight’s Combine Demolition Derby and 4th of July Firework Show have been postponed and will now be combined with tomorrow’s Demolition Derby.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy as the Fargo-Moorhead area comes together to celebrate Independence Day!
