Fargo’s Iconic Budweiser Billboard Receives Modern LED Upgrade

FARGO, N.D. – A prominent Fargo billboard, a familiar fixture at the intersection of I-29 and I-94, has been modernized with new LED technology. The 14’ x 48’ Budweiser sign, originally installed in 2001 by local Anheuser-Busch distributor D-S Beverages, has replaced its traditional neon lighting.

The renovation was completed by Indigo Signs and is intended to improve the sign’s clarity and energy efficiency. The upgrade is also part of the lead-up to the 150th anniversary of the Budweiser brand in 2026.

Doug Restemayer, President of D-S Beverages, commented on the project, stating, “Upgrading this Fargo landmark with LED technology reflects our commitment to the future while celebrating a brand that has been at the heart of American beer for 150 years.”

The updated billboard is scheduled to be officially re-lit on Friday, September 5. This event coincides with a separate promotion featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales, who are scheduled to deliver beer to 14 downtown bars between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the same day. Day Fresh Budweiser will also be available at various retail locations in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
