Fargo, ND — A new creperie, Fergie’s & Frenchie’s Creperie, is scheduled to open in late August at 206 Roberts Alley, bringing French-inspired crepes and customizable dirty sodas to downtown Fargo. The location previously housed YumTea and Scoop & Dough.
The new establishment, owned by Dane Ferguson, who also owns Ferguson Books in the same alley, will offer made-to-order crepes with both sweet and savory fillings. The menu will include options like Nutella and strawberry crepes as well as savory dishes such as a smoked salmon crepe with sour cream. In addition to crepes, the creperie will feature a “dirty soda” bar where customers can create their own drinks using a variety of sodas, syrups, fruit purées, and creams.
According to a press release, Ferguson said the goal was to “bring something fun, fresh, and just a little bit French to Roberts Alley.” The space will offer walk-up, to-go, and limited dine-in options.
As an homage to its connection to the independent bookselling business, the creperie will also sell a small selection of books.
Future plans for the business include introducing soft-serve ice cream with seasonal flavors, late-night hours on weekends, and Sunday brunch specials. The company is currently hiring part-time staff for crepe-making and front-of-house positions.
