History Night: Conversation with a WWII Combat Veteran

The Fargo Air Museum's first History Night of the year features a World War II veteran, 1st Lt. Rolf Slen. At 98 years young, Rolf is a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He served as a navigator onboard B-24 Liberators during the war, flying 40 combat missions against the Japanese. Rolf has some truly incredible stories to tell and will be available for questions after the event.

The Fargo Air Museum’s quarter 3 History Night features guest speakers Dick Walstad and Mike Hulett. Tune in as they share their rare experience as guests aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier. IN ADDITION, we will be joined via Zoom by Cdr. Gil Rud (ret. USN) as he talks about his experiences flying A-4 Skyhawks off an aircraft carrier during Vietnam and commanding one later in his Naval career. $10 donation. Free for Museum Members. Wings & Wheels Car Show

Wings and Wheels is a charity car show hosted by the Fargo Air Museum and Twisted Royalty. Each year the event raises money for different causes. All proceeds from the 2023 show will be donated to the Fargo Air Museum’s Veterans Program to provide events, community, and support to local veterans in the Fargo Moorhead area.
