TEDxFargo will launch the first event of the Beyond Series. TEDxFargo Beyond: Episode 1 will be a drive-in style TEDxFargo on July 9th from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm at the Fargo Air Museum. Attendees will be invited to hear from speakers and performers from the comfort of their cars. Speakers will be broadcasted on a big screen while audio will be available through the car radios.
At the event, attendees can look forward to opportunities to experience locally sourced beverages and snacks, an infusion of arts, speakers sharing ideas worth spreading, and other unique experiences throughout the evening.
Most importantly, this event will be designed with safety and creativity on the forefront. Some of the safety precautions include limiting the event to 100 attendees to prevent overcrowding, providing hand sanitizer and face masks to all attendees, cars parked at least 6 feet apart to provide adequate space for social distancing, and more.
If a person does not feel comfortable attending in person, there is a virtual option to attend. This allows a person to see and hear the content from the luxury of their homes while still having the TEDxFargo experience.
“We invite you to be a part of exploring what lies beyond. Our mission is to share ideas that are a part of the solution as we think about ways in which our community can move forward and connect in a healthy, safe way for all,” shared TEDxFargo co-organizer Darby Njos.
The TEDxFargo Beyond Series will include an array of events throughout 2020. The focus will be on redesigning the traditional full-day conference into small scale events and programming that brings new ideas and adventures to the community. These smaller events will push the TEDxFargo team to pilot new concepts and fully embrace the mission of ideas and innovation in this new era. The second event to the Beyond Series will take place in the next couple months.
