About Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson Stand-Up Monologue – SNL

Davidson is a comedic multi-threat. He’s a successful stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Born in 1993, he is known for his raw and personal stand-up routines. He rose to fame on the long-running comedy show Saturday Night Live, where he was a cast member for eight seasons (2014-2022).

Davidson’s life was deeply impacted by the loss of his father, a firefighter who died during the 9/11 attacks. This trauma, along with his own struggles with mental health, have become recurring themes in his often self-deprecating humor.

He started his career in his early teens, doing stand-up in New York. By his early twenties, he’d landed spots on various comedy shows before joining the cast of SNL at the young age of 20. Davidson has also acted in several films, including a semi-autobiographical comedy, The King of Staten Island (2020).

His career has been on fire in recent years. Here are some highlights:

  • Starred in his own semi-autobiographical comedy series, “Bupkis,” on Peacock.
  • Was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2014-2022, where he became a fan favorite with his Weekend Update appearances and hilarious music videos.
  • Recently returned to SNL to host the season 49 premiere, receiving rave reviews.
  • Released his latest stand-up special, “Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli,” on Netflix in January 2024.
  • Was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2016 and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2022.
