“Dr. Glaucomflecken” became Dr. Will Flannery’s alter ego, beginning as a creative outlet to tell painfully specific ophthalmology jokes and cope with his health challenges. Since then, it has evolved to incorporate satire of the US healthcare system, academic publishing, and the interpersonal conflicts pervasive in the medical system. He has become a YouTube sensation and travels the US, bringing comedic relief to a stressed healthcare system. Join us to celebrate or commiserate with Dr. Flannery in his witty and realistic view of our healthcare system, medical career, and life in general!
