Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Fargo Marathon with Joan Jett

Fargo, ND – In an electrifying collaboration, SCHEELS Arena and The Essentia Health Fargo Marathon are joining forces to bring legendary rock icon Joan Jett & The Blackhearts to Fargo. The high-octane performance is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, and tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, March 28 via Ticketmaster.com or the SCHEELS Arena box office.

A Week-Long Celebration

The concert marks the grand finale of the 20th anniversary of the Fargo Marathon, affectionately known as “America’s Best Small-Town Race.” From May 28 through June 1, 2024, the city will come alive with a series of exhilarating events, including the full and half marathon, a 5k race, the Furgo Dog Run, and the adrenaline-pumping Cyclothon. Participants from all corners of the United States will converge in North Dakota to celebrate the spirit of athleticism and community.

This musical extravaganza also serves as a heartfelt tribute to the late Mark Knutson, the former race director of the Fargo Marathon. Knutson’s passion and dedication were instrumental in shaping the event into the beloved tradition it is today.
