About the St. Patrick’s Parade

Since 1996, the parade has united the community and celebrated the unofficial beginning of Spring with some Irish flare. This year’s parade, set to kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16th. We are proud to announce Jefferson Lines as our presenting sponsor for another year.

The parade begins in Moorhead on Center Avenue before making its way across the bridge to NP Ave in Downtown Fargo. The route then turns north on Broadway and ends at 4th Avenue North.

The DCP has proudly hosted the FM St. Patrick’s Parade since 2019. The parade has historically attracted more than 10,000 attendees to enjoy festive entourages of bands, equestrians, Irish dancers, bagpipes, civic clubs, and multicultural groups. The DCP is committed to keeping the legacy of this wonderful community event thriving with insight and stories from original planning members.

The DCP encourages participants, businesses, visitors and residents to celebrate by wearing green, using shamrocks and playing music to continue making this a memorable experience for area residents. After the parade, the DCP welcomes everyone to explore and discover all of the unique businesses in the Fargo-Moorhead Downtown communities.
