Organizers of the Sunset on the Riverfront event in Moorhead say it will be a wonderful evening filled with music, makers, and family activities. This event is a new program by Folkways as a part of Moorhead’s Placemaking Services grant. This unique event will take place along the banks of the Red River on Thursday, September 14th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at American Crystal Sugar Company, located at 101 3rd St N, Moorhead, MN.
This official Greater Moorhead Days event will feature live music by The Forefeathers, an artist market, and food stands. The artist market will showcase a variety of skilled makers and artists, each offering a unique and captivating experience. Attendees can enjoy the live creation of stunning henna art by the talented LetsHennaFargo, or admire the functional beauty of handcrafted ceramics by Copper Sun Creations. This event promises to be a showcase of creativity and skill, and a wonderful opportunity to support and celebrate the work of these talented local artists.
Guests will have access to a variety of local food options at Sunset on the Riverfront, including the popular British street waffles on a stick from Windsor Waffles, as well as the hearty local cuisine offered by Deb’s Corner Foods and Catering. Additionally, Flannel Fizz will provide refreshing sodas made from natural ingredients. For those interested, Kaiva Rose will be offering Tarot and Astrology sessions.
