53rd Annual Pioneer Days Returns to Bonanzaville Aug 26-27

On August 26th and 27th, Bonanzaville will celebrate its 53rd annual Pioneer Days celebration. The outdoor museum opened to the public in 1968 with 17 buildings, which has increased to 42 buildings over the years. The “Pioneer Days Review” in 1970 was the first major public event held at the site. Prior to being held at Bonanzaville, the celebration was hosted in Davenport, ND for a few years but was moved to accommodate more attendees.

Visitors are invited to take a trip down memory lane and experience history with the event’s range of activities, including historic demonstrations, guided tours in costumes, horse-drawn carriage rides, a kiddie tractor pull, mini train rides, old-time music, a parade at 2 pm both days, food vendors, and much more! The event takes place on Saturday, August 26th from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday, August 27th from 9 am to 5 pm. In 2023, the organizers are introducing a new Sunday morning pancake breakfast and Historical Trivia Contest with team prizes! Visit bonanzaville.org/pioneerdays for a complete schedule of events!
