FMWF Chamber Foundation to host EDventures

Second annual event brings employers and educators together to shape the region’s future workforce

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber Foundation’s (The Foundation) Ignite Initiative is partnering with the Cass County Career and Technical Education Center to host the second annual EDventures on June 26-30.

EDventures brings businesses and educators together to address the region’s workforce needs. The program allows educators to visit several businesses in the community, observe the work environment, interact with employees, and learn about the professional skills employers seek. Teachers take this information back to the classroom, preparing students for their future careers and strengthing the region’s workforce.

“Workforce retention and future-talent development are critical priorities for our community,” said Jenna Mueller, executive director for The Foundation. “EDventures fosters strong relationships between educators and businesses, which creates meaningful experiences for students as they decide what the next chapter of their life will look like.”

Participating organizations are Amazon, Assembly Systems, Border States Electric, Butler Machinery, Bytespeed, Carr’s Tree Service, Clay County, Doosan Bobcat, Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley, Hector International Airport, Holiday Inn, Legacy Plumbing, MWC Advertising, PRx Performance, and Robert Gibb and Sons.

Educators have the option of enrolling for professional development credit or general participation. Registration is open until June 16 at bit.ly/EDventures23.
