Microsoft TechSpark has generously offered a gift that will be used to pay the full $1500 tuition down payments for an entire class (up to 15) of future software engineering students attending Fargo’s Emerging Digital Academy.

“This will help many affected by COVID-19 overcome a financial obstacle to making their lives better.”
Greg Tehven, Emerging Prairie’s Co-Founder and Executive Director

This offer is limited to the first 15 students that submit their completed application and are accepted to be part of the July cohort. Offer only applies to the July cohort. The deadline to apply is July 20th or based on availability. For more details about applying, tuition, and financing visit www.emergingacademy.org.

Emerging Prairie’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Greg Tehven: “This will help many affected by COVID-19 overcome a financial obstacle to making their lives better. Thank you, Microsoft TechSpark, for your awareness and desire to upskill our workforce–and to improve the human condition through your support of Emerging Digital Academy. This gift will no doubt improve the lives of students and have a multiplier effect throughout the region’s tech community.”

Microsoft TechSpark is a civic program designed to foster greater economic opportunity and job creation in rural communities.

“Advances in technology are creating new job opportunities everywhere we look, but if we don’t have the skills to attain them, those jobs will be out of touch and COVID-19 has only accelerated this problem. We hope our support will allow individuals to take that leap into a career that will not only benefit them but the region by filling the many open programmer positions in our area. We are proud to assist in such incredible efforts lead by Emerging Digital Academy – a top-notch coding school we feel lucky to have in our community, as we continue to foster digital skilling throughout our region and beyond,” shared Microsoft TechSpark’s Taya Spelhaug
The Academy began its first cohort in April 2020 with 13 students expected to graduate in 12 weeks.
