FeaturedCelebrating Togetherness: Same-Sex Dancing in FM by Larry Peterson
Hjemkomst Center 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead, MN, United StatesAs part of celebration of Fargo-Moorhead Pride, the HCSCC will be hosting a talk by Dr. Larry Peterson on local LGBTQ+ history. Lesbians and gays treasured dances where they felt safe to be themselves. This talk and its musical selections share how our Moorhead-Fargo LGBTQ communities created community and celebrated each other through same-sex dancing in bars and through hosting same-sex dances in various public spaces in the late twentieth century.
