Whiskey Class – Blind Tasting

December 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Taste, discuss, and dissect whiskies with no foreknowledge of what you are tasting – a great chance to learn without preconceptions.

Blind tasting whiskey is an experience that can be both revelatory and rewarding. When you taste with no preconceptions about brand or style, you learn things about your own preferences  – maybe you like rye more than you thought or a brand you had always avoided turns out to be a favorite. It is also an exciting way to exercise your chemical sense – the equivalent of a workout for your senses of smell and taste. By forcing yourself to dig deeper, you can only improve how you perceive the qualities of whiskey, and thereby increase your enjoyment of future drams.

In this class, you will be presented with a series of whiskey, connected by no other theme. They will represent a variety of styles, regions, and producers. You will taste, discuss, and dissect these whiskies, and ultimately learn what you have been tasting, to see how your preferences truly ran. Expect a fun an illuminating class, full of sensory surprises and tantalizing twists.

Must be 21+ to attend.
