Whiskey Class – Single Barrel Whiskey

May 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Taste and examine single barrel whiskey with Evan Christie

Who is most responsible for the final flavor of a bottle of whiskey? The argument between distillers and blenders has long simmered, but there is at least one type of whiskey where there is no debate – the single barrel. Here there is nowhere for the distiller to hide, no harmonious mixture of barrels to create a familiar house style – the distiller must stand alone. Single barrels are loved by whiskey nerds because though they may be similar to others, each barrel is ultimately a unique experience, an unrepeatable spirit capturing a moment in time.

In this class, Evan Christie will present single-barrel whiskey for your tasting pleasure. These will span across styles of whiskey, but each will adhere to the requirement that the batch was never blended across multiple barrels but taken from that single cask before bottling. Expect to explore the nuances of these whiskies, and discover new and unexpected favorites. Jump into the world of single barrel whiskey!

Must be 21+ to attend.
