The F5 Project recently opened a new transitional housing unit for women in Fargo, North Dakota. This expansion of the group’s housing program aims to offer a safe and secure home to women who usually encounter difficulties in finding suitable accommodation after being released from incarceration or treatment. The unit is capable of housing up to three individuals at a time.
The F5 Project is an essential and reliable component of creating supportive communities for individuals in need. With multiple homes and units situated throughout North Dakota, they can accommodate up to 43 male residents. By developing a women’s transitional housing unit, the group aims to bring the same quality of services to women in need.
“One of the most important pieces of an individual rebuilding their life after incarceration or treatment, is having a warm safe place to call home that is conducive to their recovery,” says Kristy Johnson, Senior Director of Programs at F5 Project. “Transitional living isn’t just a roof over somebody’s head, it’s a supportive program to empower individuals while holding them accountable as they strive towards their recovery and life goals.”
Individuals, regardless of gender, who need transitional housing are invited to apply on the F5 website. F5 Project’s office is at 1122 1st Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102. F5 Project provides various services and currently supports over 560 participants each month.
