On Wednesday, September 9th, the third annual Possibility Symposium on Social Business, hosted by Emerging Prairie, will be held from 3:30 – 7:00 pm at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s
Comstock Memorial Union. This event brings together community builders, entrepreneurs, funders, and more to hear from social entrepreneurs.
This event will focus on the stories, work and journeys of local social entrepreneurs as they use the business platform to do good work and create change. These entrepreneurs are developing and implementing solutions that focus around social, cultural, or environmental issues. During the event, there will also be networking breaks and a social to give attendees a chance to talk to these entrepreneurs about their work.
The speaker lineup includes Missy Heilman of BIO Girls, their mission is to improve the self-esteem of adolescent girls through empowerment of self and service to others; Ceallaigh Anderson Smart of Print the Love, part of their vision is that all would have access to photographs of family, friends, and life’s most cherished memories and milestones; Jenessa Fillipi of Down Home, they transform an empty spaces into a comfortable homes for families transitioning from homelessness into housing; and more.
