Unglued Craft Fest Returns to Plains Art Museum February 23 & 24

It’s time to get crafty (or at least support those who do) at the 8th annual Unglued Craft Fest this Friday and Saturday at Plains Art Museum!

Now in its 8th consecutive year, the Unglued Craft Fest features 70 local artists and makers that have everything from leather wallets, dog collars, and goddess mugs to organic makeup, macrame and hot sauce for sale.

If you want to get an exclusive preview of the Craft Fest, attend the Craft Fest Preview party from 5-9pm on Friday. Previously called the “gala” night, this year’s preview party has decreased its admission and now includes craft projects ranging from printmaking to candle making.

There will also be a cash bar, food by Poke Bowl and Deja Vu Catering, and even a live vinyl DJ! Craft Fest Previewers also get $5 of Unglued cash to spend at your crafter booth of choice that night. Tickets to the preview party are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.

Then, come to the Unglued Craft Fest Main Event from 9am-4pm on Saturday with FREE admission! For the first time at the Craft Fest, the Red River Market hosts a “mini market” with six vendors joining the Fest (Saturday only) with farmer’s market products such as eggs and microgreens. Other new additions to the Fest include the Crafty Lounge with watercolor resist painting and an expanded free workshop schedule for attendees.

“Last year was perfect, but (Unglued) somehow managed to make it even better again this year,” says returning vendor Amy Jo Hendrickson. “Unglued really is changing how people think about buying local and buying from makers.”

Returning to the Fest will be the Young Maker’s Market, Craft Beer Garden, Scavenger Hunt for kids and adults, swag bags for the first 100 people Saturday, free museum gallery admission, and live music by Hot Lunch over the lunch hour. Poke Bowl will also be available Saturday.

Parking can be tricky around the Plains Art Museum, but the LinkFM bus is running with extended hours for attendees who park at the Moorhead Center Mall.
