Word Dances: Poetry in Motion
Sanctuary Events Center 670 4th Ave N, Fargo, ND, United StatesWord Dances: Poetry in Motion combines modern dance with selections from local dancer-poet Katie Bruckbauer's new book, Time to Soar: Word Dances and Bird Songs for Every Season. The dances are choreographed and performed by Bruckbauer and fellow dancer, Barb Wieland, along with a small ensemble of local dancers. Bruckbauer and Wieland were performing dancers and instructors for almost 30 years at two former Fargo dance studios, Mahkahta Dance Theater and 8th Street Studio of Dance, of which they were part owners.
