Wine Class – Veneto

March 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Taste and learn about the wines of the Veneto region of Italy with certified sommelier Josh Voytek.

Join Certified Sommelier Josh Voytek on an exploration of the wines of the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. While most people’s exposure to wines from the Veneto region around the cities of Venice and Verona is mostly concentrated around white wines, particularly Pinot Grigio and Prosecco, the region also produces another excellent white named Soave (meaning smooth) from a grape called Garganega, as well as reds made in all different styles made primarily from the grape Corvina in the Valpollicella region. Corvina based wines are usually light bodied, but can range in style from light and fruity Bardolino to rich, high alcohol and almost dessert wine like Amarone. This class will be a full introduction of great examples of white, red and sparkling wines from this region, with a special focus on contrasting “entry-level” examples, with more regionally specific counterparts. Whether you are already a fan of Veneto wines, or just want to learn more about Italian regional wines, sign up for this class that involves wines perfect for the transition from winter into spring.

Must be 21+ to attend.
