Wine Class – Never Hate a Grape

February 22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Laura Botten teaches you to never hate a grape by tasting the wide range of wines made from often maligned grapes.

Do you think Chardonnay is beloved by everyone’s mother but no one else? Do you despise the sugary sweet simplicity of Riesling? Are you simply not drinking any *bleeping* Merlot? We all have wine prejudices. Too often, we take a couple prominent examples as representative of whole categories of wine, but most of the great wine grapes have tremendous range. Depending on where they are grown, how they are grown, and winemakers’ choices, wines made from the same grape can end up very different indeed.

In this class, Laura Botten will teach you to never hate a grape. You will taste wines of the same grape but which are made in wildly different styles to suit many different palates and occasions. Expect to be surprised by how different these wines can be and how much you might enjoy something you did not think you would. Come with an open mind, and we will fill it with enticing wine.

Must be 21+ to attend.
