Whiskey Class – French Whiskey

October 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Discover the growing world of French Whiskey with Evan Christie.

French and whiskey may seem an odd pairing of words at first. A country far more associated with brandy than whiskey, France has nonetheless developed a small but growing whiskey industry. It was a logical step – France remains an agricultural powerhouse with plenty of fields planted with grain and has long been a top export market for Scotch whiskey. French distillers are also free of traditional styles, handed down through generations. Instead, the vibrant and distinct French whiskey scene is a study in experimentation.

In this class, you will taste and learn about the burgeoning world of French whiskey. Though generally modeled on Scotch, French whiskies have many unique features. Some make use of local grain, capturing a unique terroir. Others make use of the plentiful cask types available from France’s many other beverage producers. Some blend, like Scotch producers, the products of different distilleries to achieve their profile. Join us to see why French whiskey just keeps growing!

Must be 21+ to attend.
