Whiskey Class – Allocated Whiskey
February 11, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
You can’t always get what you want, or so the Rolling Stones tell us. In the world of whiskey, this has increasingly been the case, and devoted connoisseurs have had to learn the dreaded word: allocated. When a whiskey is allocated, it means the limited supply is doled out to stores based on a variety of seemingly arbitrary criteria, but primarily it means you are much less likely to see this whiskey regularly on shelves and have the chance to purchase and enjoy it. Often the only way to find such whiskies is to stop in a store at a lucky time, participate in a raffle for a chance to buy one, or venture onto the black market. Or you could get a taste in this class!
This event is offered at a premium price to our normal spirits classes because these are rare and, in some cases, expensive whiskies, which we do not have more of to sell you after the class. However, you will get the chance to taste bourbons you might never have seen in a store before, unique releases that will never come again, and some bottles that might be just a little too pricey to risk on something you might not like. Join us for this chance to try, learn about, and discuss some very exciting whiskey.
Must be 21+ to attend.
