Minnesota Poets Out Loud – Spoken Word Poetry From the Land of 10,000 Voices

FreeJoin us this Saturday at the Moorhead Public Library at 7:00 PM for an energetic spoken word poetry presentation featuring diverse voices across Minnesota. This dynamic program will feature artists performing poems demonstrating Minnesotans’ varied experiences. This program is appropriate for ages 16 and up and may feature topics sensitive to some listeners. Admission is free thanks to Minnesota Art & Cultural Heritage Fund funding.
This program will feature the following:
Fatima Camara is a writer, poet, and author of “Yellowline,” published through the Akashic Book and the African Poetry Book Fund.
Donte Collins (they/them) is a neurodivergent afro-surrealist blues poet, playwright, and movement artist named the Inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Shane Hawley is a writer, performer, and a 2010 National Poetry Slam Champion.
Joe Davis is a poet and artist who uses art, spoken word, and poetry to create space for healing.
Kevin Zepper is a Minnesota State University Moorhead instructor and the author of several poetry chapbooks, including “Moonman” and “The Shaman Said.”
