Midwest Bio-Defense Summit 2023

Join us for the inaugural Midwest BioDefense Summit in Fargo on March 14 & 15 hosted by the BioScience Association of North Dakota, North Dakota Department of Agriculture, North Dakota Department of Commerce and the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation. This unique event will bring together regional biotech and medical device innovators and federal officials within the biodefense and military health community. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear about many of the life saving biotech innovations being created and nurtured here in the region as well as an opportunity to connect with Department of Defense officials about doing business with the government in the biomedical and life science space.

Other key topics of the Summit will include:

• Overview of regional research assets which could be synergistic with promoting advancements in military medicine research and clinical applications

• Opportunities for onshoring biopharmaceutical production to the Upper Midwest in support of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) mission

• Identify potential opportunities to expand Uniformed Services University (USU) and regional research/education missions

• Connect with regional funders, investors, and venture capital firms supporting the commercialization of biotechnology innovations
