ABOUT TRANSCENDENCE CABARET
In 2016, Eun Bee Yes created a fundraiser to benefit two trans non profit organizations. This fundraiser was a huge success and every artist who donated their time and talent were of the trans/non binary communities. It was here where it all began. Why not have a show that celebrated trans lives? Why not receive the bread and roses now?

In 2017, Eun Bee Yes pitched the idea of a monthly show that primarily featured BI&POC trans/non binary/two spirit artists to a queer entertainment venue. This show was titled ‘Transcendence Cabaret’ and featured amazing artists from the local burlesque and drag communities around Minneapolis/St Paul.

In 2020, in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Transcendence Cabaret went completely online and the show went on without a pause. In 2021, guest artists from around the world twirled on the virtual stage and will continue to do so as the show has shifted to a hybrid show with a live audience at our new home at Phoenix Theater as well as a loyal online audience.

Each month features some of the troupe’s full or part time artists as well as guest artists from all over with artistry in burlesque, drag, spoken word, and more.

February has been reserved to recognize Black heritage, May recognizes Asian diaspora, July recognizes Indigenous/two spirit artists, and September recognizes Latine/Caribbean/Dominican Republic, and South and Central American artists. June is our Pride celebration and in November, we honour those we have lost around the international Trans day of Remembrance.

We are honoured and privileged to be one of a handful of BI&POC trans troupes in the United States. Thank you for supporting us from our humble beginnings in 2017 and growing with us throughout the years.

We are Transcendence Cabaret.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
MEGAN THE MANEATER
Megan the Man Eater- This wild wacky woman has been flipping and tricking all throughout the Twin Cities! Jumping off of roofs and rolling under buses, she will use anything and ANYONE to execute a trick. So ladies, hide your husbands because she’s the reaper of men!
Welcome to the stage Megan the Man Eater!

OLIVER YEW
Oliver Yew is a non-binary Drag King and Burlesque performer, gracing stages around the Twin Cities since 2019. He is a cast member of Transcendence Cabaret and Mr. Mom’s Campground. He is your favorite late night snack, and will leave you wanting him all over you.

MOE
The hoodrat alien from around the galactic block!

EUN BEE YES
After many attempts at an official bio, this is what we got after many cups of tea: smol rage porg, angry muskrat, hyper-intelligent stoat. Has baseball bat. Also has no time for bullshit, white tears, and other white nonsense. Too much to do to tear down systemic white supremacy. Not your tame queer and still majestic as fuck. Producer of Transcendence Cabaret, a BI&POC centered trans/gender non conforming troupe. NAMI MN state trainer for In Our Own Voice speakers. Black Lives Matter. Black Trans Lives Matter. Love is Love. Silence=Death. What is Remembered Lives.
