Better-understand the impact that digital addiction has on our health and well-being with keynote speaker, author, and psychiatrist, Dr. Anna Lembke.
In a time of unprecedented material abundance and access to information, we’re more miserable than ever. With more than half of Americans now diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder at some point in their lifetime and a suicide occurring once every 11 minutes, what is it about modern life that’s causing such despair? Stanford psychiatrist Dr. Anna Lembke believes at least part of the answer lies in our addiction to technology and social media, and she shares how it is impacting our health and well-being.
During this half day in-person and live-streamed experience Dr. Anna Lembke, Chief of the Stanford Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic and the author of the recently released “Dopamine Nation”, will explore digital addiction and how it is hijacking the pleasure centers of our brains. You will learn about how the addiction works, how it controls our behaviors, and what we can do about it.
