CreativeMornings Fargo: Lisa Vedaa

FreeLisa Vedaa is the Collections Manager for the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County in Moorhead, Minnesota, curating its collection of more than 12,000 artifacts at the Hjemkomst Center. Vedaa joined the staff of the Clay County Historical Society in 2002. Vedaa also contributes to the research and development of HCSCC local history exhibitions, which have included “Prairie Daughters: The Art and Lives of Annie Stein and Orabel Thortvedt” and “Wet and Dry: Saloons and Prohibition in Clay County,” and current exhibitions “Ihdago Manipi: Clay County at 150” and “Ralph’s Corner: The Exhibit, 1882-2005.”
Vedaa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public History at North Dakota State University in Fargo and completed a Masters in Public History work at St. Cloud State University. Vedaa worked previously at the Codington County Historical Society in Watertown, South Dakota, the Central Minnesota Historical Center, and the Cass County Historical Society at Bonanzaville. She lives in Fargo her husband, three sons, and family dog, Buzz.

We’re excited to see you once again at the wonderful Jasper Hotel (floor 5) bright and early at 8 am. Doors will open at 8 am, our speaker will begin at 8:15 and we’ll typically wrap up around 9 am-ish. Bring your mug from last time, though we do have a few left for those of you who didn’t claim one (first come, first take?) 🙂
