Preacher Lawson will be performing live in Fargo, ND on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The event will be held at the Sanctuary Events Center, located at 670 4th Ave N. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Preacher Lawson was born in Portland, Oregon, but spent most of his childhood in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved around 20 times before he turned 10 years old. Although he has lived in many cities, he considers Orlando, Florida, his hometown because that’s where he developed his skills as a comedian.
Lawson is best known for his appearance on season 12 of NBC’s hit series “America’s Got Talent” in 2017, where he made it to the final round. He was then invited to compete on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” and “Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions” in 2019, where he advanced to the finale after receiving the most fan votes. He was later handpicked by Howie Mandell to participate in “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League” in 2024.
Lawson’s first stand-up special, “Get to Know Me,” was released in 2019 on BET+ and Amazon. His special “My Name is Preacher” will be released globally on YouTube on March 14, 2024. You can also catch him on HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson,” and “Tournament of Laughs” on TBS. He is also a series regular on NBC’s “Connecting.” In 2019, he hosted the Facebook Watch series “World’s Most Amazing Dogs” with George Lopez and Lisa Vanderpump.
Lawson has a massive following on TikTok with 3.4 million followers. His YouTube channel has over 640,000 subscribers and features clips of his stand-up performances, MMA training, and even vegan cooking tips.
