A Band for the Ages
Band of Horses is known for crafting powerful and relatable music that resonated with a generation. Their soaring vocals and poignant lyrics have turned their songs into anthems, offering both personal truths and relatable advice. Their gorgeously ragged epics, led by Ben Bridwell’s high-flying vocals and eccentric enunciation, have become anthems and touchstones for fans.
Formed in Seattle in 2004, Band of Horses rose to fame in the mid-2000s with their brand of indie rock. Led by singer-songwriter Ben Bridwell, the band has seen lineup changes over the years, but their core sound – think soaring vocals, driving guitars, and relatable lyrics – has remained.
Their early albums, like “Everything All the Time” (2006), captured the anxieties of a generation. Songs became anthems, offering both personal truths and a sense of community.
Band of Horses achieved mainstream success with their 2010 album “Infinite Arms,” which featured the hit single “Laredo.” They haven’t stopped evolving though. Their latest album, “Things Are Great,” finds Bridwell exploring new territory, delving into themes of relationships and self-discovery.
Known for their powerful live shows, Band of Horses continues to be a force in the indie rock scene, promising a return to their raw energy with their upcoming tour.
A New Chapter
Their sixth album, 2022’s “Things Are Great,” finds frontman Ben Bridwell exploring themes of changing relationships and the search for meaning. It’s an autobiographical journey that explores what a person will do to make things right—and what happens when they can’t.
Joined by longtime members and exciting new additions, the band promises a show filled with raw emotion and the unbridled energy of their early days. This fresh chapter finds the band recapturing the unpolished punk-rock spirit of their early days.
Mark your calendars for July 12, 2024, and get ready for a night of unforgettable music under the Fargo sky!
