The Fargo Park District is excited to announce the opening of three outdoor skating rinks and their warming houses for public use. The skating rinks at Kennedy Park, Centennial Park and Lemke Park will open for public skating on Wednesday, January 10. Both the pleasure and hockey rinks will open at Kennedy Park and Centennial Park, while only the pleasure rink will open at Lemke Park. All remaining outdoor rinks will open as weather and ice conditions allow.
Warming houses are staffed and open Monday through Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday through Sunday 12:00 – 8:00 pm. Hours are subject to change according to weather conditions. On Monday, January 12, warming houses will have extended hours of 12:00 – 8:00 pm for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Warming houses will close earlier than scheduled in the evenings if the temperatures reach -10 degrees or colder or wind chills of -30 degrees or greater. For weather cancellation and closure information visit FargoParks.com or call the Fargo Park District weather information line at 701-298-6915.
