SENDCAA Raises Awareness through Help for Our Unhoused Neighbors
SENDCAA’s Help for Our Unhoused Neighbors is seeking to raise awareness of what our neighbors are struggling with that we usually know nothing about. To raise funds for this mission, they’ll be hosting a social and silent auction at Drekker Brewing on November 17th from 5 pm-9 pm.
“SENDCAA helped me so much when needed. I was homeless for the first time in my life, and it was no fun. My dog and I slept in my car and on the floor at work. I contacted many places for help with no avail until SENDCAA stepped in.”
Shelby, case manager at SENDCAA, worked with this person to find affordable housing. After they were housed, they continued working together on achieving an improved and stable income as well as getting connected with other resources in our community that assisted them in becoming self-sufficient. This client was able to achieve self-sufficiency through the combined efforts of this person and Shelby to achieve economic opportunity.
“This amazing organization reacted promptly and assisted in me getting an apartment. They were always there for me in many ways including helping with food and items for my apartment. I don’t know where I would have ended up without their help!”
SENDCAA says they are unwavering in their dedication and goal to lift up those who are unhoused or experiencing a housing crisis and provide hope and support. Supporting them by attending the social and silent auction will in turn help lift up those in most need in our community. You can learn more at www.sendcaa.org.
