The 15th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Auction, Fargo Air Museum’s annual fundraiser, will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, starting at 5 pm. Proceeds go to maintaining the museum, veterans services, and youth programming.
Sherry Heyer, the event chair, said her committee has been working hard to make the dinner & auction a night to remember. “I have helped bring many of the Fargo Air Museum’s fall fundraisers to fruition over the years and this one is shaping up to be unlike any other,” says Heyer. “Every detail, from the beginning of the evening with guest participation entertainment to the end of the evening’s live auction with amazing uniquely acquired items.”
The ‘celebrity’ aircraft for the evening are the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper drones. This is in honor of the North Dakota Air National Guard’s 178th Attack Squadron receiving the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies’ General Atomics Remotely Piloted Aircraft Trophy for 2021.
“We are honored to host the MQ-9 Reaper on our ramp and celebrate the success of the North Dakota Air National Guard,” says Ryan Thayer, Fargo Air Museum Executive Director. “In addition to showing support for our military’s commitment to excellence, the evening is designed to raise money to support the forward momentum of our mission.”
The evening begins with a casino game social hour, bar service, and live entertainment followed by a three-course plated dinner, live auction, and more. Tickets, tables, and sponsorship opportunities can be purchased on the Fargo Air Museum’s website at fargoairmuseum.org/cda.
