Residents are invited to an afternoon concert featuring The Cropdusters at the downtown Main Library on Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m. Featuring a rotating cast of local musicians, The Cropdusters perform duo and trio sets. The free concert is open to all ages and pre-registration is not required to attend.
The Friends of the Fargo Public Library Spring Used Book Sale will be held in the breezeway of the downtown Main Library on Friday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You are invited to come and enjoy browsing the stacks of gently used books to find bargains and treasures.
There is something for everyone with a wide assortment of books, including fiction, non-fiction, and reference books as well as CDs and DVDs. Near the end of the sale, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, books will sell for Five Dollars a Bag.
During the book sale on Saturday, the downtown Main Library will offer Kindergarten Success Storytime for ages 3-5 from 10-11 a.m. The goal of storytime is to instill the love of reading and each child will receive a Free Book.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public; adults must accompany children ages nine and younger.
