West Fargo Library Celebrates Women’s History Month with Free Movie Screenings

Last updated:

The West Fargo Public Library is celebrating Women’s History Month by sharing stories of influential women on the big screen.

The West Fargo Library’s Monday Matinee free movie screenings start at 1:30 p.m. every Monday afternoon. Each screening is free and open to the public, however, limited seating is available.

This month’s films — “Loving,” “Spencer,” and “Queen of Katwe” — tell the stories of interracial couple Mildred and Richard Loving, the late Princess Diana, and Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi. For more information about the films, visit westfargolibrary.org/movies.

The library plans to continue the Monday Matinee program into the summer, with themes for the coming months including inspiring sports, films based on books, stories of friendship, and movie musicals.

The library is also showing child-friendly films this spring. At 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, families can watch the 1951 “Alice in Wonderland” animated film at the library. At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, the library will show “DC League of Super-Pets.”
