Winter PRIDE Returns In February With New Events

Front Street Taproom

Fargo-Moorhead PRIDE is one of the largest rural Pride celebrations in the nation. The event annually draws tens of thousands from around the Midwest and Canada.

The winters can be long in Fargo, and in the past, Winter PRIDE events have been a welcome respite from the cold nights and now Winter PRIDE is back!

Let’s take a look at the events that will be taking place.

Winter Pride Comedy Show

The celebration starts with two fun events at Front Street Taproom on Main Avenue in Fargo on February 16. Maggie Faris headlines a comedy show in The Cellar with local comics Jan Syverson, Zack Rittenhouse, and Megan Hjelle. Erin Allyn will be your host.

Maggie has opened for such comedy greats as Jeff Ross, Dave Attel, Jay Pharoah, Michael Che, Maria Bamford, Daniel Tosh, Nick Swarsdon, and many more. She won the Minnesota Laugh-off and another comedy competition win made Maggie the Public Address Announcer for the St. Paul Saints which led to an appearance on ESPN!

Doors open at 7:30 with the show starting at 8 pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to FM Pride! The show is 21+.

Winter Pride Vinyl Night

After the comedy show in The Cellar, the dance party kicks off upstairs at the Front Street Taproom. DJ AP will be spinning vinyl from 9:30 pm to 1 am!

Come out (haha) ready to dance the night away to some favorite Pride tunes and enjoy Front Street’s extensive tap list and N/A offerings. It’s a great way to get fired up for the celebration!

This event is free and 21+.

Winter Pride Masquerade Ball

The first-ever Winter Pride Masquerade ball takes place at the Jasper Hotel on Broadway on Friday, February 17, at 7:30 pm. The ballroom at the Jasper is one of the most beautiful halls in the region.

Dress to impress as this will be a night full of glitz, glamour, and masked magic! Tickets are $15 and will be available soon.

Winter Pride Family Ice Skating

Bring the whole family downtown on Saturday for a day of skating in the beautiful Broadway Square. Bring your own ice skates or rent them from Broadway Square for an extra charge.

This event is free and open to all ages!

Winter Pride Drag Show

The fabulous Drag United performers will take over the stage at the Downtown Fargo VFW on Saturday, February 18. These Queens and Kings know how to put on a show!

Bring your whole crew and be sure to have plenty of tips on hand for the Royalty. VFW has a bar located downstairs for the event so you don’t have to worry about missing any of the show!

Security will be posted at every entrance plus extra staff to make sure everyone is safe! 21+ and $12 at the door. Doors open at 8 pm and the show starts at 9 pm.
