FARGO, ND – Mark your calendars for October 28, 2024, as the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) invites volunteers to “Love Your Downtown Day” from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This special event aims to unite residents from across Fargo to participate in a two-hour community clean-up, highlighting the city’s pride and support for its vibrant downtown.
“Love Your Downtown Day is not just about picking up litter,” said Rocky Schneider, Executive Director of the DCP. “It’s about showing love and pride for the heart of Fargo. By coming together to beautify downtown, we’re fostering a sense of community while also supporting the local shops, cafes, and restaurants that make this area so vibrant.”
Volunteers will have the unique opportunity to join forces with Sophia Richards, Miss North Dakota 2024, who is thrilled to be part of the event. “As a resident of Downtown Fargo myself, I am honored to be part of such an incredible event,” said Richards. “Downtown Fargo has always been a place where people come together, and this event is a perfect way to show our appreciation by making sure it remains a beautiful and welcoming space for everyone.”
The event goes beyond just a clean-up. Attendees are encouraged to explore and support the local businesses that make Fargo special. Many of these businesses will offer special promotions to enhance the “Love Your Downtown” experience.
The event is free and open to everyone, with all cleaning supplies provided. Volunteers can sign up in advance at the DCP’s website. Check-in begins at Broadway Square, located at 201 N. Broadway.
