Fargo Library’s Weekly Storytime Sessions Start Monday, January 23

Storytime sessions for youngsters are scheduled at all three library locations

Weekly storytime sessions for toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers return for the spring season Monday, Jan. 23, at the Fargo Public Library and run through April 12. Spring sessions are for children ages 2 to 6 and are offered at the following locations, days and times:

  • Main Library, 101 4th St. N.: Mondays at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • Northport Library, 2714 Broadway: Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
  • Dr. James Carlson Library, 2801 32nd Ave. S.: Wednesdays at 10 and 11 a.m.

Age-appropriate stories, songs and fingerplays at these storytimes provide an opportunity for families to spend quality time sharing stories, learning school readiness skills and fostering a love of reading. No registration is required to attend these sessions. For more information, contact the Children’s Services Dept. at 701.241.1495.

Baby Rhyme Time is a lap-sit storytime series for infants up to age 18 months. Sessions are offered on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Main Library, and on the first and third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Dr. James Carlson Library. Designed for the youngest readers, these sessions are an opportunity for parents to share songs, participate in finger plays, read short books, rhythms and rhymes with baby while introducing the world of books at the library. No registration is required for Baby Rhyme Time sessions. Please abide by the rule of one child per grown-up lap. For more details, call Children’s Services at 701.241.1495.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public; adults must accompany children ages nine and younger.
