Winter is here and readers of all ages – babies, kids, teens, and adults – are invited to enjoy lots of books and activities by participating in the library’s “All the Feels” 2023 Winter Reading Challenge to add a little excitement, adventure, and mystery to cold winter days. The free winter reading program runs from Monday, Jan. 2, through Sunday, Feb. 26, and all ages can participate by reading, attending events, and completing challenges. Participation and registration for the winter reading program begins January 2, however, readers can join any time during the program dates.
The library aims to reach residents by offering a winter filled with engaging stories, creative activities, and events for everyone. The library’s winter reading program will be available on Beanstack, an online service designed for readers of all ages to keep track of the days and time they spend reading to earn free prizes for their efforts. To participate in the library’s winter reading incentive program, register at https://fargolibrary.beanstack.org beginning January 2. All participants must register to take part in this program. Paper reading logs are available, however, patrons are strongly encouraged to use the online format if possible. Note: paper reading logs will be available at all three Fargo Public Library locations starting Tuesday, Jan. 3. Book logs are due on or before Sunday, Feb. 26, to be eligible for prizes and prize drawings. Online registration with Beanstack is accessible via web browser and Apple or Android apps.
Library programs and events are free and open to the public. For more information regarding the Fargo Public Library and a list of upcoming events, visit the library’s online calendar or call 701.241.1492.
