It’s the most wonderful time of the year as the Fargo Park District’s 32-foot-tall holiday tree at Broadway Square is lit for the season at an official Tree Lighting event on November 22 from 5:30 – 9:00 pm.
The event will include remarks from Executive Director Dave Leker, Mayor Tim Mahoney, and Fargo Park Board President Dawn Morgan, a countdown to the lighting of the tree, live holiday music by the BisonArts singers, warm beverages, holiday carols led by Kathie Brekke and the Moorhead High School Carolers, carriage rides around downtown Fargo hosted by the Jasper Hotel, live reindeer and much more! Grab-and-go concession and merchandise will be available for purchase until 9:00 pm.
Weather permitting, the SCHEELS Skating Rink and Skate Shack are set to open to the public the night of the tree lighting. Regular season hours are Monday-Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 12:00 – 9:00 pm and will begin on Wednesday, November 23 following the tree lighting and rink opening, weather dependent.
Broadway Square and the SCHEELS Skating Rink and Skate Shack are located at 201 Broadway in the heart of Downtown Fargo.
