Plains Art Museum Indigenous Art Fair

Plains Art Museum will host its seventh annual Indigenous Art Fair on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10 am – 5 pm at the Museum. The public is invited to shop for high-level contemporary and traditional Indigenous art as we kick off the holiday season!

The expanded event will feature 30 Indigenous artists from North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and from around the region. The public can take part in a t-shirt printing project with MState Professor, Jon Cox featuring artwork from artist John Hitchcock. At 1 pm, Attendees are also invited to watch a dance demonstration by the Buffalo River Singers and Dancers, highlighting the Waŋna niš niyepi exhibition.

“I am honored to curate and organize such a wonderful art-focused, Indigenous event again this year! Many artists sold out of their artwork by the end of last year’s event, and it’s great to
expose the artists to our community and that our community supports the artists,” said Director of Native American Programming, Joseph Williams.
