FARGO, ND – The Downtown Community Partnership announced Allison King as the winner of this year’s Downtown Fargo Street Fair Artist Prospectus. King’s submission was chosen through a public voting process after she was selected as one of the top three finalists. Her artwork will be featured on all promotional materials for the event, which will be held from July 18 to 20 in Downtown Fargo.
This year’s contest, sponsored by Alerus, called for local artists to submit works that embody the vibrancy and communal joy of the street fair. As the 2024 featured artist, King will receive a prize of $750, made possible by Alerus’ commitment to supporting community events.
“We are proud to showcase the vibrancy of our local art community and Allison’s submission embodies both the history and the lasting vibrancy of the Downtown Fargo Street Fair,” said Rocky Schneider, Executive Director of the Downtown Community Partnership.
