Fargo Main Library To Welcome ‘Rhinos in Nebraska’ Author September 28

Writer to conduct presentation about fossils and scientific mysteries surrounding North America’s ancient past.

Children’s Author Dr. Alison Pearce Stevens, Ph.D., will visit the downtown Main Library on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. for a presentation and book signing. Stevens will share her book Rhinos in Nebraska which uncovers the scientific mysteries surrounding the Nebraska Ashfall Fossil Beds, where more than two hundred perfectly preserved fossils have been found.

Alison Pearce Stevens, Ph.D., has written more than 100 science articles for children and coauthored four National Geographic Kids books, including three books in their “Weird But True” series. She is also the author of Rhinos in Nebraska, which she found inspiration for through her work at the University of Nebraska State Museum.

The event is geared towards kids in 4th grade and older, but all ages are welcome to attend this free event. No registration is required. For more information, contact the Children’s Services Dept. at 701.241.1495. Books will be available for purchase.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children ages nine and younger.
