The public is invited to celebrate the final week of the Island Park Pool season starting Monday, August 15. The Island Park Pool is scheduled to be closed during the 2023 season for construction on a new Island Park Pool set to open in 2024.
Admission to Island Park Pool is free from Monday, August 15 to Sunday, August 21. On Tuesday, August 16, enjoy free swimming, pick up a free drawstring swim bag, sing karaoke, enjoy a freeze pop and leave your mark on the pool with our fun interactive art piece during the evening session from 6:00-8:00 pm. Current and former staff are invited to celebrate the pool in a private event on Tuesday, August 16 from 4:30-6:00 pm.
August 21 will mark the last day to enjoy swimming at the current Island Park Pool before the construction begins. The current pool is capping off 45 years of use. At the August meeting, the Fargo Park Board recently approved the scope of the future pool and moved the project into the formal design phase. Construction is set to be complete and ready for opening in the summer of 2024. Island Park Pool is located at 616 1st Ave S, Fargo.
