The Fargo Park District is opening Edgewood Chalet tomorrow, December 18. Edgewood Chalet offers cross country ski and snowshoe rentals, trails and a sledding hill. Cross country ski rentals are $7.50 for youth and $14.00 for adults. Snowshoe rentals are $7.50. All equipment must stay on-site at Edgewood Public Golf Course.
The sleds at Edgewood Chalet are available for rent at no cost. Checking out a sled requires either a picture ID or a $20 deposit that is returned when the sled is returned. Sledders can bring their own sleds. No metal saucers, toboggans, sleds with metal runners or cardboard pieces. Warming facilities are available at both locations. There is a limited amount of sleds available so sledders are encouraged to bring their own sleds to guarantee that they have a sled.
Edgewood Public Golf Course is a wonderland of wintertime fun offering cross-country skiing, ski rental, snowshoe rental and sledding hills.Edgewood Chalets hours are Saturday-Sunday from 12:00-8:00 pm and Monday-Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm. Hours are subject to change according to weather conditions.
Christmas break hours are 12:00-8:00 pm daily, December 26-January 1. Edgewood Chalet is closed on December 24 and 25 in observance of the holiday.
