The Carnival Is Coming Back To Town: Drekker Brewing Marches In 7 Lucky Years With Two Days Of Carnival Fun And A Free Concert from Eagles of Death Metal

Drekker Brewing Company is celebrating 7 years and invites the community to join the festivities with two days of events that include new beers, a carnival extravaganza, a chance to find 7 Golden Tickets that come with a slew of prizes including free beer for a year and a face-melting concert from Eagles of Death Metal.

Every year we’re blown away by how amazing this community is and we want to share our gratitude and invite everyone to an amazing party and celebration with a ton of crazy stuff planned

Drekker Brewing President, Mark Bjornstad, explains DrekkerFest is their way of saying thank you to their amazing fans and supporters and a chance to celebrate together.

“Every year we’re blown away by how amazing this community is and we want to share our gratitude and invite everyone to an amazing party and celebration with a ton of crazy stuff planned,” says Bjornstad.

New Beer Releases

Drekkerfest 7 features 9 special beers including a four brewery collaboration fruited sour mixed pack!

It wouldn’t be much of a Drekker celebration without some insane new beers on top of all of the other craziness so DrekkerFest is kicking off on Friday, September 17th with the release of 9 special beers. These include two barrel-aged stouts, a four brewery collaboration fruited sour mixed pack with friends from across the country, and the return of some annual birthday favorites including Birthday Cake Chonk, Oops All Berries Plop and Pizza Toots IPA. These beers will be released at noon on Friday at the brewery along with special merchandise and the first chance at a golden ticket.

Carnival & Concert

Saturday, Drekkerfest 7 ends with a free concert from the Eagles of Death Metal with special guest Products and Victor Shores

On Saturday, the Drekker Carnival comes to town and this is what DrekkerFest is really all about anyway. It’s an all-day, free event that has something for everyone from face painting & zombie caricatures to flash tattoos and food trucks to carnival games. The gates open at noon on Saturday, September 18th and attendees will see a host of local favorites like Amarok Tattoo Studio doing flash tattoos all day, the Drekker nightmare conductor and artist, Punchgut, opening a new gallery show called Inks and Oddities with prints, pieces, and gaffs for sale. Other local artists are also collaborating on the event with Not Hideuhs and Paul Ide performing graffiti art and hosting their Draw Club and Olivia Bain has created a creepy and whimsical entrance experience for all guests to enter through on their way into the carnival.

Saturday ends with a free concert from the Eagles of Death Metal with special guest Products and Victor Shores, both with ties to the F-M area.

“We usually look at our brewery playlist and find a dream band to invite and The Eagles of Death Metal are one of our absolute favorite bands so we couldn’t be more excited to have them lead this year’s party. ” shares Bjornstad.
