The Downtown Fargo Business Improvement District (BID) announces its newest hire. Victor Heitkamp was chosen to oversee BID as its Operations Manager.
Heitkamp has more than 30 years of experience in the Fargo-Moorhead area with Fargo Park District. He brings talent in project and business management along with a vast knowledge of equipment maintenance.
Heitkamp also has years of service between several professional organizations including the North Dakota Recreation and Parks Association, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, and the North Central Turfgrass Association.
“I’m excited to take on this role and support the community I call home. I look forward to having a very boots-on-the-ground approach and being a friendly face Downtown,” said Heitkamp.
Heitkamp will train in and work alongside predecessor Chris Schlepp until mid-August. Schlepp has been the BID’s Operation Manager for five years and has proven to be an integral part of the Downtown Community. He can be credited for establishing a Downtown art wrap program for utility boxes, coordinating the Downtown Flag and Banner displays, and beautifying the streets with holiday lights each winter.
